OneEach has changed greatly since the original How-To section was written. This page covers the current way to build pages. Much of the material will simply point to sections on the OE website.
Components
Best practice is now to use components exclusively for building out a page, and to do nothing directly on the page. First, some quick tips:
- A quick way to build the skeleton for for a page is to copy a component from a template and then paste it onto the page. If you're doing a series of the same component, just keep pasting the copied component down the "stack".
- If there's a page layout that you'll want to use more than once, build a template page, and then clone it via a menu pick whenever you want to use that layout.
- The OE knowledgebase on most components, including an overview is at https://support.oneeach.com/kb/websites#components
This webinar shows how to use Drupal components, the best way to manage images on your site, and how to set up template pages: https://support.oneeach.com/kb/advanced-page-layouts-2026 . It also shows:
- How to use the style settings to visually improve your pages
- How to create page templates
- Best practices for images on your site
The webinar shows a OE demo page with all components. It is at: https://javelina-demo.oneeach.
The webinar also shows four template pages which we can copy if we like:
- Template #1 - https://javelina-demo.oneeach.
org/template-1 - Template #2 - https://javelina-demo.oneeach.
org/template-2 - Template #3 - https://javelina-demo.oneeach.
org/template-3 - Template #4 - https://javelina-demo.oneeach.
org/template-4
You can see how elements on a template are created by going to the edit tab for that page.
